Day 0: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa for dinner and an overnight stay. (Approximately 40 km, 30 minutes drive).

Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Distance: 140km

After breakfast, we begin the safari with a stop in Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases. We’ll then proceed to Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. It plays a vital role in the migratory cycle of thousands of elephants, wildebeests, and zebras. Dinner and overnight stay at Bougainvilla Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
Distance: 50km

After breakfast, we depart for Lake Manyara National Park. This park offers spectacular landscapes and diverse habitats, including acacia woodlands, water forests, hot springs, swamps, and the lake itself. It is home to a wide range of wildlife, including the world’s largest population of baboons and tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight stay at Bougainvilla Lodge.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we journey to Serengeti National Park through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Entering the Serengeti, you’ll witness its endless plains stretching to the horizon. We head to the Seronera region, a wildlife-rich area centered around the Seronera River. After arriving in time for lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Serenity Camps.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Non-game viewing time: 2 hours
Start the day with an early morning game drive to spot nocturnal animals returning from their hunts and witness lions at dawn. This is followed by a full day of game drives. Depending on the season and migration patterns, you can expect to see wildebeests, lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, baboons, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at Serenity Camps.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy an early morning game drive before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, visit Olduvai Gorge, a significant archaeological site where the Leakeys discovered early human fossils. Arrive at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Distance: 210km

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for wildlife viewing. The crater is teeming with animals such as wildebeests, zebras, elephants, hippos, and predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake home to flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. In the late afternoon, return to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay or an airport transfer. (Accommodation in Arusha can be arranged upon request for an additional cost).
